  • Dymir Tatem, LCSW, CSS

    Founder & Clinical Director

    Dymir is a licensed clinician in NJ. He earned his MSW degree from Rutgers University. He has 6 years of experience in providing children, adolescent, and family therapy. Dymir was inspired to create Fresh Start Counseling because of his desire to make a difference by bringing an awareness, education, and HOPE to those in underserved groups facing unique mental health challenges.

  • Desiree Guyton, LPC

    My career journey started in a place I knew very well, the church pews. I developed a passion for those lost mentally and emotionally in darkness, poor, oppressed, and disenfranchised. I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education from Messiah College along with a Master of Divinity in Contemporary Leadership and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary, then becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC). My journey to effect change in the world continued in 2013 when I received a Global Trauma Recovery Institute (GTRI) training certificate and in 2015 Master Trainer for Trauma Healing Institute Certificate Program. I also became a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP). My calling has allowed me to provide education and support in a variety of roles including adjunct professor, Co-Author, Minister, Counselor, President/Executive Director, and Business Owner to help many throughout the world.

  • Rhianna Bryne, LAC

    Rhianna is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who is determined to create a safe space for youth so they can develop the skills and confidence they need to meet their full potential. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Rowan University and earned her Masters of Education in School Counseling (M.Ed) and Advanced Certificate in School Counseling at Wilmington University. She is currently completing coursework to earn her Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) certification at Rider University. Rhianna has been working with children and adolescents for 8 years. She has experience working with LGBTQ+ youth and youth who have symptoms related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. She utilizes mindfulness-based stress reduction and solution-focused therapy approaches to assist youth and their families. In addition to her work as an in-home therapist, she works full time as a school counselor.

  • Ethan Mays, LSW

    My name is Ethan Mays I am a licensed therapist with an LSW. I am currently pursuing my LCSW. I have a masters in business and and masters in social work as well. I also was a care manager at YCM. I was the program coordinator for two group homes with two different agencies. My client focus is youth between the ages of 4-18 with behavioral issues. I work with youth that consist of issues that include anger, anxiety, and depression and trauma. I also have training in TF CBT.

  • Sara Leonelli, MSW, CSS

    Sara is a behavioral assistant and a school social worker in NJ. She earned her undergraduate Social Work degree from Widener University and her Master's degree in Social Work from Stockton University. She has 6 years experience working with children and adolescents who have experienced mental health disorders. Sara has experience working with adolescents in inpatient mental health services through Belmont Behavior Health where she worked there for a year and a half. Much of Sara's experience has been with children and adolescents. Sara has conducted much research and work through trauma informed practices. Sara works full time as a school social worker in Hamilton Township School District. In addition to working full time as a school social worker, Sara also is a full time swim coach and participates in community engagement through her district. Sara is very passionate about her line of work and continues to help and service children and families.

  • Nicholas Domanico, BSW

    Behavioral Assistant

    Nicholas is a certified behavioral assistant at Fresh Start Counseling who has a diverse experience working with children of various ages and populations. His experiences include working as a camp counselor, Family Support Associate, Direct Support Professional, and Paraprofessional. Having a strong passion for his job, Nicholas seeks to be a positive role model and encourage growth amongst youths and their families. Holding a bachelor's degree in social work from Stockton University, Nicholas currently attends Rutgers University to pursue his career as a licensed therapist. When Nicholas isn't working, his hobbies include photography, listening to music, playing video games, reading books, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Shaniece Parker

    Shaniece is a Behavioral Assistant who earned her undergraduate Psychology degree from Rowan University. She is working towards getting her Masters degree in Social Work. She works Full time as a Case Manager where she provides immediate intervention services for children and adolescents experiencing escalated emotional and behavioral health issues. She also works part time as a Individual Support Technician where she works with children and adolescents with behavioral health and/or intellectual disabilities and a Behavior Assistant Working in Camden County. She is certified in CPR & First Aid and DDD.

  • Aniyah Lewis-Williams , MSW

    Aniyah is a Behavioral Assistant in Atlantic County whose primary field population is children and adolescents. She obtained her Bachelor's in Social Work and Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University. She is currently registering to become a Licensed Social Worker. She is experienced with working children and adolescents with various behavioral challenges. In addition to providing in-home counseling, Aniyah also works full time as a Substance Abuse Counselor.

  • Johnathan White

    Jonathan is a Behavioral Assistance for Fresh Start Counseling and a Juvenile Probation Officer for the New Jersey Judiciary, bringing him 5+ years of working with youth, families, and other specialized services. He earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Wilmington University, where he would return to earn his Master's degree in Homeland Security. He brings a caring attitude and loves working with families to ensure the best possible outcomes.

  • Miracle Smith, LSW

    Miracle is a master’s level social worker in NJ. She earned three Bachelors of Art’s degrees in Sociology, Anthropology, and Pan-Africana studies from Lincoln University. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Miracle has 1 year of experience working with children who have experienced symptoms related to Autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. She has also received a CPI certification. In addition to providing in home services, Miracle also works as a school social worker, and a case management supervisor.

  • Edward Knight, LSW

    Edward is currently a Behavioral Assistant in NJ. He recently graduated with his Masters degree in Social Work and passed his Licensed Social Worker Exam. Edward has worked with diverse populations, but specializes in adolescents, specifically those with Neurodevelopmental disorders. In his free time, Edward enjoys watching and playing sports, while also helping coach local youth teams.

  • Lateefah Johnson, LSW

    Lateefah is a licensed clinician in the state of NJ. Lateefah has provided therapy services for 5+ years in outpatient, in-home and in treatment settings. She has a wide variety of clinical experience and has worked with many populations. Her expertise however is working with adolescents and young adults who have experienced symptoms related to: anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse and self-harm.
